Music & Worship
We join in worship each week on Sunday mornings at 10:00. We enjoy a traditional style of worship with a go-with-the-flow attitude. Worship is an intergenerational event with a place for everyone.
We proudly follow the teachings of Jesus Christ by doing our best to share a welcome. We are a member of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians and welcome our LGBTQIA+ neighbors.
Music is an essential element in the life of First Presbyterian Church of Liberty. Worship services include hymns sung by the congregation, vocal and handbell choirs, solos by accompanist Calvin Permenter, and special music by church members and guests.
Lukas Lockett is the director of the vocal choir which sings in worship twice a month from September to May. Practices are at 7:30 pm on Wednesdays.
The handbell choir is led by Ann Reed who also helps to lead worship twice a month. They practice at 6:20 p.m. on Wednesdays.
All are welcome to join these two choirs. No auditions required!
The sanctuary has a beautiful organ but the church lacks an organist. If you are interested in playing the organ, please contact the pastor at (816) 781-6528.
